April 6, '19 My dear Mrs. Whitley; - I managed to go thru Mr. Smith's pockets and discover your letter, yesterday. I shall be glad to do anything I can to further this most important phase of the Women's Work, but hope you do not call the State meeting until after I return from Washington. Congress is over the 19th but I shall probably not return until the 23 or so -- You omitted the "form letter" which you mention, so I know practically nothing of the work. You know possibly that Mr. Smith owns the newspaper here so that may help. I am glad if you really liked the quartette it was a venture at best and not a finished affair. I sing very little any more.
