melted butter, 2 eggs, 1 quart flour, 4 teaspoons cream tartar, 1 & 1/2 ditto soda. Bake an hour. Almond Pudding. Mrs. Matson. 1 quart milk, boil, stir in 5 tablespoons corn starch add 20 bitter almonds, blanched & powdered fine, When thickened pour in a dish. Make a frosting of 3 eggs - pour on the pudding, & brown in the oven. Apple Pudding. No. 4. 1 cup sour cream or milk 1 teaspoon soda 2 eggs flour added to the cream until of the consistency of thick sponge cake. Pour it over apples prepared in a pudding dish, & then bake Cold Pudding. 1 quart boiling milk - piece of butter size of an egg - 3 tablespoons flour, wet with cold milk 6 eggs sugar & cinnamon to your taste. Add the butter to the milk when boiling & the eggs when cold. Farmer's Pudding. 1 pint rice 12 large sour apples pare, core & slice - put all into a bag & boil half an hour - the bag should be just large enough to hold the rice when swelled. Eat with butter & sugar.
