Cedar Rapids, Iowa Nov. 23, 1944 Dear Lloyd: - It's been a long time since I wrote you and received your letter, and I hope when that much more time has elapsed, the war in Europe will be over. It will soon be two years since you went across. Things are going about the same here. Still plenty of restrictions and many things are difficult, of possible to obtain. Shotgun shells are almost unobtainable. They say you can get all the gas, shells, tires etc. you want in Canada. Nothing is rationed except coffee. Most of this is our stuff, sent there on "Lend-lease." The election has come
