Cedar Rapids, Ia Aug 3 1945 Slim: Sorry not to have wrote sooner have been pretty busy the last two months. Am caught up with work fairly well now. got all the hay in & oats combine all we got to do in put the straw in the barn & cut weed untill we start to fill silos Got 1300 bales of hay on 19 A alright isn't it 880 bu of oats on 15 acres Havent got much news from around here now only things are sure dry right here the rains seem to go around us
