[page]60.[/page] is most transparent while the central part is occupied by a denser chlorophyll-bearing portion. The amphigastria are rudamentary [rudimentary?], and, by aid of the 1/5 obj. are seen to be from one to four toothed, the two inner teeth being longest. The teeth consist of from one to two rows of cells each. There are also small root-hairs arising from the same points as the amphigastria and are single elongated cells containing granular protoplasm which is usually almost transparent. This species has not been found fruiting in this locality.
