Eight readings, direct from D[[subscript]]3[[/subscript]] to G, of the wires named, were taken and an equal number of the same in reverse order. The screw was then turned backward until the wire A bisected the cross; by successive reversals as before the readings were made in order for the wires A, B, C[[subscript]]1[[/subscript]], C[[subscript]]3[[/subscript]], C[[subscript]]5[[/subscript]], D[[subscript]]1[[/subscript]], D[[subscript]]2[[/subscript]], D[[subscript]]3[[/subscript]], and their reverse.
