often among uncongenial people -- people who bored you to death, perhaps -- and I'd much rather quarrel outright with a person than let them slowly bore me to extinction. But in these last letters you have shown me that you are meeting at times very interesting people along with the "ultra-intellectuals." It must be a sort of bitter-sweet affair, and boy dear, you're going to reap the benefit of it in later years. If you are at all like I think, you'll have lived thru a thousand little experiences
