PM Oct. 2 '18 Best Beloved,-- I'm sitting all by my lonesome before a pretty fire in the grate. I have just fixed Helen's bath, and while she splashes and gets ready for bed, I will spend a few minutes writing to my Hubby. Then I must go up stairs, hear the cherub's prayers and "tuck her in." I scolded her dreadfully tonight, just as we were having dessert -- a thing I've never done before.
