generous gobs. Sunday night we were all together at Julie's, and as usual, you were the chief topic of conversation. Fred and Ernest simply drove me wild, and the others were not slow to join in, either. They began explaining that I had so much of you to learn. I insisted that you didn't know me any better, but the whole thing came from a remark Greta made while here, to Julie. She said she was awfully fond of me, etc, etc -- but she couldn't associate me with you. It rather peeved me, tho I didn't admit it, and I immediately said, 'wasn't it funny, I had written practically the same thing of her to you' (Miow!) Then Julie went on to explain Greta's remark. It seems that she judged me entirely by the short time we were together, just as I did her. She was on her dignity, and searching the
