having our Aug weather now, it was fearfully cold here in Aug and Sept. Yesterday was the finest day just like June. I dread to think of a long cold winter especially in the camps. "But the Lord tempers the shorn Lamb -- and I believe he is going to take care of our boys and give them strength to win. There is no question in my mind about the courage The Sons of Colombia are born with it. Now honey just remember the "wif is longing for, and loving you with all her dear little heart, and even tho she has a dirty nose today the sun may be shining tomorrow," and that both she and Mother are waiting longing, and hoping to soon give you a hearty loving welcome to your home -- we are praying for and thinking of you all the time. Love and kisses from us both Muttie XXXX
