Yesterday I sat around the house in bath robe & P.J.'s and waited for Mama to get ready for a walk. She kept saying, "Now you sit down and be quiet while I --- etc" and I kept sitting down and being quiet until nearly five o'clock, and then I was informed that it was too late & too chilly for me to venture outside. It's funny to be so weak. I always arrange my affairs so I can go up and down stairs when no one is around because I generally stop and rest a dozen times on the way. The Doctor said a lot of stuff about typhoid following, and internal hemorrhage from my tummy, etc. unless I'm very careful. He's simply trying to convince me that I must be very careful, and I'll be, dearest, so don't you begin to preach
