You've been taking an active part in things, and bless your heart, you've done lots toward helping me to realize it thru your letters. Those letters -- ! They've simply been wonderful, Conger. They've expressed so much, in your own wonderful way, and while I've not been "getting acquainted" with you all these months in as intimate and personal a way as I should like, I've not really been on the outside. I've been trying to read between lines and to know you as thoroly as it's possible to when you're so far away and so actively interested in the big war. Hurry along home, dear. If war is your hobby, we'll see about instigating a nice little private one of our
