33. length, elongated, gibbous in front, flattened posteriorly; [?umpores?] prominent constituting the broadest and thickest portion of the shell; beaks incurved near the front of the shell. Dorsal margin nearly or quite straight, sloping back to posterior extremity which is rather pointed. Base broadly rounded. Surface marked by concentric lines or ridges of growth. Geological position and localities: -- Saint Louis limestone in Marion, Mahaska, Wapello, and Jefferson counties, Iowa. Reference. -- Contributions to Paleontology 168, by C. A. White M.D.
