[page]117.[/page] present in posterior ear. Right valve nearly flat having the general outline of the other, its beak however is hardly distinct from the hinge line. Surface of left valve marked by somewhat flattened radiating costae of which only a few extend the entire length of the valve, most of them becoming obsolete out the umbo. Also marked by numerous fine concentric striae. Right valve marked only by obscure radiating striae and by lines of growth.
