sun April 19 has been a lovely warm sunshiny day Liz & boys went home this afternoon the little colt is sick to night father went over to John shaffers & got some medicine for it mon April 20 this has been a gloomy day & it rained fearful hard this afternoon & this morning also I made Jim a shirt to day Minniie B was here this Eve to get our kettle to make soap & got my song book Tues April 21 has been another gloomy day it rained fearful hard this Eve but nice & warm the grass looks just splendid there has been some plowing done between showers & some farmers hasent done any thing in the fields yet I scrubed painted some frames for seven windows the boys plowed some this afternoon mother wove I helped father tend the sick colt
