sat May 9 was warm but so winday & rained a little shower this afternoon I went with Linie Mort & children down to Bobs to day we all went to Elkader this afternoon I called to see the cassuth girls Mary was all alone had a nice little chat sun May 10 has been a cloudy day rained a little sprinkle we came home this Eve had a nice visit Mon May 11 A nice warm day it clouded up at noon but dident rain we nead rain so bad Every thing is so dry the fields are so dry & cloddy stuart Coventry Eat dinner Wini Lowers made us a call & we also had a call from a peddler this morning mother got some towling from him I cut mother a blue calico dress & partly made it to day have been most sick to day I baked bread Tues May 12
