I scrubed baked bread & pies Mother got a web of carpet out for Ms Billit Bails folks Mrs Ogle went out to Mery Wickems to day Mery is very sick Mr Ogle was here all afternoon I went up to the grave yard this afternoon & decorated little Nellie & Nellie Klingman graves with two nice boquets they looked nice sun May 17 has been a hot dusty day no rain but frost on the (battasks?) last night frank goring & Mary Ann Simpson was married to day Allie J & I went to see Gracie Jim to day had a nice time mother father & Wallace was at Lizzies to day I have the headache so bad Albert Goring was at Mr Sims to day we all played sinch after dinner Mon May 18 is a hot dusty day I washed today mother is warping a (illegible) of carpet for Mrs Bail I went to see Meriah Shaffer this afternoon took some corn meal home we borrowed
