Tues May 19 has been warm & windy & so dry the ground is so hard & cloudy almost impossiable to get it redy for planting the corn isent (illegible) all planted I ironed scrubed patched but I haven't combed my head yet but Iam goint to comb it now good by Wed May 20 A nice day about 11 oclock it rained quite a shower I helped Linie clean house to day she gave me 25 cts for it Th May 21 has been a cloudy cold day it is a raining a little this Eve wish it would rain hard as we need it so bad there is lots of corn to plant yet I was down to Minnies this afternoon a while she gave me some plants Fri May 22 A cold rainy morning rained last night it was welcome rain & rained most of the fornoon John Rathlisberger had a barn raising this afternoon Will went Mother & I cleaned out the strawberries
