Wed Aug 5 has been a very warm day I made Jim a shirt had the headache Mr Ogle was here & Em L Will Jim & Wallace went to Elgin to the show Th Aug 6 A very very warm day the men are cutting oats I went over to the Keenes place & picked 3 sacks of appels & most roasted we had dutch pie for dinner & it was bass Fri Aug 7 A very warm day Em was here all day to dinner & supper we had a bass visit we commenced drying appels & cand 1 qt of blackberries Jim was home this Eve he got a sliver under his little finger nale & affal sore sat Aug 8 A very warm day we are having very warm weather we are drying apples I baked scrubed Mabel Carl stayed here all night Bill went to Elgin
