horse we had 10 men for dinner to day Mr & Mrs Will Probest was here for dinner brought a carpet to weave (Jam?) Loughern is here to night he is helping Wheeler lay wall Fri May 9 A chilly day we worked very hard to day I did a lot of baking to day sat May 10 A cold cloudy gloomy day rained this fornoon we was agoing to raise the barn but it rained some came but went back the carpenters went home this morning it is very cold this eve am afraid of frost sun May 11 A nice day I was home all day I dident go to sunday school Mon May 12 we had a very heavy rain about 5 oclock we raised the barn this afternoon there was 35 or 40 men here I am so glad it is over with Cora R Liz Lizzie & Lina was here
