night took bridges out in lots of places Ashelmans folks came over to Linies I rode home with them Mon May 19 A very warm day I did a very large washing am very tired my head aches Tues May 20 A very warm day we had a very heavy rain this eve the carpenters went home this eve I am sleepy wed May 21 A very warm day last night it stormed all night we had a steer struck by lightning got 22 dollars insurance on him it is thundering this eve th May 22 A nice day I finished 2 under waists for myself to day Mother & Wallace went to Galainer (Bolgers?) funeral Father went to Brainard to get some plank of (illegible) we had rain last night again
