Fri May 23 we had a heavy rain to day the carpenter came with 2 men Yeb Davis Arch Jennings I am tired & sleepy sat May 24 we had a little shower this eve the carpenter went home this eve Mother made about 50 gallon soap? to day Ashelmans called this eve sun May 25 A nice day I went to sunday school & church Mort K came over this afternoon Mon May 28 A cold windy day I did a large washing Mort & Jimmie K was here for dinner Mort is here all night he is putting in corn on Ashelmans Wallace has gone over to L Richards to practice for decoration Mother was at a tea party at John Eriques she found a little boy
