sun July 6 we had rain to day I went to church had to waid mud home it rained very hard while I was there Mon July 7 A very warm day I washed Mother & Wallace went to Elgin our little colt died to day John Shaffer was here for dinner he declared the colt Tues July 8 A very warm day it rained this afternoon I don't know how long in the night I ironed for our selves & for Lena Ashleman am very tired Wed July 9 A pretty warm day I went over to Lizes to day to pick gooseberries eat dinner with Lina she went with me to pick berries th July 10 A nice day Lina & I went on mink creek to pick berries eat dinner with Lower smith got back I canned my berries stayed all night with Lina
