th Dec 25 Christmas day & a bitter cold day Effie Wallace & I went over to Linies had Christmas dinner Will Jim & Liz & family was there had a jolly good time & a good dinner Fri Dec 26 pretty cold not so bad as yesterday I made a pare of pants for my self to day good night - Kittie Travers was buried to day sat Dec 27 A nicer day than we have been having and awful warm yet we butchered 2 hogs & a beef to day Jim F. & Fred E helped Liz came over with them Jim stayed all night sun Dec 28 A bright day not very cold we all went with Ashlismans over to Ogles this eve it snowed real hard this eve Walter Ernst & Jimmie Klingman was here for dinner
