SPACEWAYS IF I WEREWOLF [Image of a man playing a trombone] (In the first four parts: Art Widner Jr discovers the Cwaol Darth, a black rhombohedron capable of turning people into were animals. One can become any animal he may choose, but is confined to the group to which belongs his original choice, be it fish, quadruped, bird, or insect. Various fans join Widner to form the Amalgamated Were-Fans of America. Director Art is usually a lion; Chauvenet an eagle; Trudy Kuslan a whale; Hannes Bok a dragon; Lowndes a bat; Rothmans a louse; Eastman an elephant; Gilbert a cobra; Jenkins an octopus; Hart a horse, Thompson a chimpanzee; Morojo a frog; Ackerman an aard-vark; Daugherty a kangaroo; Freehafer like Lowndes a bat; and Yerke a tumble-weed. Speer and Warner refuse to become were fans, and Tucker cannot because his soul's in hock to the Devil. Just as the AWEA are discussing plans for ending the war, a red ray draws into the air and carries off the fishbowl containing Morojo, Trudy, and octopus-let Jenkins. Their cries of "Help!...Vitons!...Perdue!..." fade away in the distance.
