(recovery) (e) Nuclear emulsions for University of Minnesota (recovery) Barograph, beacon, cut-down mechanism, parachute, etc. Beautiful take-off -- Went rapidly east. Reached ~113,000 feet in about 3 hours. Was over approximately Chicago at ~10:30 C.S.T. Followed by Beechcraft plane. Cut down at about 1600 C.S.T. and followed through snow by ADF equipment on plane down to altitude of about 7500 feet. Approximate impact located but not seen to fall. It had passed eastward form Detroit to Buffalo along the north shore of Lake Erie. -- Impact was in the
