As to "priority", in answer to my question concerning telemetering coverage on [DV-1?], Ludwig advised that [DV-1?] was a trial round, the success or failure of which did not prejudice our first priority to being carried on the second [round?] with the full storage equipment, i.e. -- Storage version of the State University of Iowa equipment primary payload for the initial Jupiter program. -------- I inquired about time scale. Ludwig said he must necessarily be vague over the phone but assured me that it was too tight to permit his continuation at Iowa if he was to meet the deadline with an integrated, proved in equipment.
