Third Anniversary Issue — Page Thirteen I especially like your story ("The Monitor") - I can't tell you how glad I am to get your articles, and if you have any more, I'd especially like a science fiction story for the Collector. Write soon, Morrie The above are only two excerpts from a long letter. It may sound humorous to realize that I had already placed four stories, articles, indexes before Dollens had a chance to reply even once; but Dollens' answer did not strike me as being funny. Instantly I realized that something was dirty in Denmark. A fan magazine in its eleventh issue and having to thank a rank newcomer for material In the most sincere fashion. It was for this reason that I asked Baltadonis for permission to write the history of the Collector for his third anniversary issue. Therefore, it was the eleventh issue that the tide began to change for Dollens. In his editorial for that number he stated, "With this Issue we bring you some names new to the S.F. Col. J.V. Baltadonis has done the cover illustration (He's slated for many more) and Sam Moskowitz has contributed a story and three articles (the first time my name was ever mentioned in a fan mag) --the story will appear in March 7th FFD; one of the articles is published in this issue of S-F Col. Olon F. Wiggins has offered to contribute to our anniversary
