Third Anniversary Issue -- Page Twenty-Five I favor fan feuds! Morojo Feuds among fans can do nothing but good for everyone concerned, furnishing, as they do; outlets for the pentup ideas of embryo authors and an abundance of that provoking reading matter for the interested non-participants. No harm comes from fan feuds carried on in the pages of reliable fan magazines. It stands to reason that one side is right, and the other wrong; it doesn't-- matter much which side you're on in the beginning because you eventually get over onto the right side - if you were not there at first and the feud ends when everyone Is on the right side. If it is something like the ghu-foo-Poo fighting funtasy factions, or the Great Staple War of yore - all the better. Everyone Is in actuality your friend; the enmity being only assumed to make the argumentation more amusing. Fan feuds develop personalities- foster enduring friendships. Participants learn a great deal about one another. Usually, when you get to know a chap, you just can't help liking him a lot. Even your bitterest opponent gains your respect and admiration if he be sincere and his arguments reasonably reasonable!
