Page Thirty-Four -- Science Fiction Collector the votes are too spread out to mean much. Now, for the best regular column. Fantaglimmerings (Madle's) managed to eke out a victory over Ossie Train's The Eternal Wanderer. The count was eight to six, Two of the awards nominated the Fan Mag Review as the best column. The question is: can Madle hold onto his lead? Will he lose it next yolume? The answer: stick around for six more issues and you'11 soon see. The best issue was Vol. 1 No. 3 gaining seven votes. Second and third were the sixth (five votes) and the first (four votes) of that volume. The o ther issues received nary a vote. Now forthe worst issue. You are right - you guessed it! Out of sixteen replies, nine voted for Volume 4 No. 4. Second in this infamous department was the fifth issue, getting four votes. The first second and third issues were each stained with one vote: The sixth surprisingly received none. Ah. yes! The last question. The question of who is and who is not in favor of our using special duplicating paper. Here, mis amis, are the results: Seven voted for and seven voted against the continued use of that duplicating paper. Two replies did not deign to answer the questions. There was one request to make this quiz a regular feature of the Collector along the lines of the IPO Poll conducted by Jack Speer- As a matter of fact, this same person wanted a repetition of the IPO question in order to record the reactions of the Collector readers as against those of the Fan readers. Well, we're sorry, but we can't do that every issue. With the beginning of each new volume, we do intend to mail out cards similar to those mailed out last issue; but we do not deem it advisable to make this an issuely policy. That's all from this department til lssue Six Number One. Thank you!
