wed sept 11 A nice cool day I visited Ella Kerr she & I called at Lulu Rothlisbergers I called at Wilber Pattersons Father came home from Bro Wills I had a good visit th sept 12 A fine day we made 3½ qts apple butter camed 1½ qts tomatoes little Ella was with us all day Wallace Lena Auldin went to Elkader Fri sept 13 A gloomy day rained a little this morning I cut a lot of corn off to dry this fornoon this afternoon I gathered 2 sacks of hazelnuts I am very tired
