Fri May 16 A gloomy day not much sunshine Russell almost had the croup last night we butchered a hog to day sat May 17 A fine day Lena & I fried out meat made head cheese pickled pigs feet made sausage I dident get home until 11 oclock last night sun May 18 A fine day Lena & I worked hard all day we tried out sausage & lard am so tired Mon May 19 it rained all afternoon we washed some of the clothes got dry I ironed
