went down to Jims place picked a nice lot of nice strawberries I caned 2½ qts sat June 12 A funy day so warm rained this morn had a very heavy rain this eve we had strawberry short cake for dinner Wallace went to Fayette for his hand William Philipps sun June 13 A nice day Jim was home Russell & I went with him down to his place we all gathered a nice lot of strawberries & I am very tired & sleepy so good night
