morning Father & I went down to Jims place gathered strawberries I caned them had 6 qts Mother gathered & pited 4 qts cherries I caned them wed June 23 A rainy day I baked bread cookies killed a chicken drest it Mother cooked it (illegible) it while I was up heping Lena wash her front poarch th June 24 A fine day was Lenas birth day I had a surprise party on her had a fine time a nice crowd she got 5.25 for the reminder of it
