sun sept 5 A very warm day & is very dusty we had a little shower this eve no one went to ss & church the Preacher is a (illegible) Mon sept 6 A hot day we did a large washing the boys school commenced to day Tues spt 7 A nice day had a little rain this morning I ironed caned 7 qts transendents wed sept 8 A nice day I caned 7 qts more transendents baked bread th spt 9 A nice day I made 5½ qts transendent butter caned 4 qts transcendent pickels & 2 qts jell we had a heavy rain yesterday
