Fri sept 24 A gloomy day I finished caning peaches caned 7 qt made cookies moped am very tired Lana R called sat spt 25 A gloomy day rained all afternoon we churned I caned 2½ qts plumb butter drest a chicken did a lot of other work sun spt 26 it rained all last night & most all fornoon Aunt Becca & I went to the cemetery & put flowers on Mothers grave & others has been cold all day & is real cold this eve wind high & cold
