Mental Health Center
The Mental Health Center offers services in the area of psychiatry and adult and child counseling. The Center is tax supported and supported from voluntary funds and fees. 
   However, services are reported available to all persons, regardless of race, on an equal basis. In 1949 approximately two percent of the services were rendered to Negroes .

Doctors
Twenty-eight, or 81 percent, of the 36 Burlington doctors who were asked to fill out questionnaires, replied. Specialities listed covered the various fields with the exception of psychiatry. In some instances physicians had several specialities, for this reason the total listings are greater than the number of doctors reporting (28)
