the boys went to Elgin this morning Aulden went & helped set out some trees up at the church this afternoon Wallace has been sick all day the boys & Ella went down to (Martha?) Chapmans to league this eve we made sausage head cheese (fryed?) out lard did a lot of work th apri 30 A cold day grond froze some last night I am sick with a cold my (jaws?) hurt me so Wallace was at Elgin this morning Waltirenger called was selling chick feed taking orders for salt a oil man from Elkader was here got a little kereocene to try it
