Mon June 15 A pretty warm day Lena Ella & Aulden went to Elgin this afternoon Ella got some new slippers Rev star & his son Robert was here for supper it rained most all last night just awful hard Russell got home between 5 & 6 this morning they stayed all night to a Mr Lincolns this side of Oelwein it rained so hard they couldent come home the man urged them to stay till morning they started between 3 & 4 this morning for home Lena & the kids went down to Flanagans got some potatoes Tues June 16 A nice day pretty warm we all went to the church to the
