Mary got a doll in the mail this morning from Jessie Foster of Dubuque Will Kerr got our corn finished to day Tues sept 22 we had rain last night was a cool day Wallace went to Elgin took the jacket that belongs to the big kettle to be fixed Lena & I dident do any thing but just work all day made 2 kind of pickle some tomato preserves got a letter from Russell & his laundry wed sept 23 A nice day a little cool Lena & I visited Lib smith to day we drove Bill had a good visit the men filled silo at Fred R. Aulden
