cold Russell & I started for Clearmont got the other side of Elgin was no snow on the road just the gravel the snow had been scraped off was poor sleighing so we turned around & came back home the folks all went to the Christmas Program at the church I stayed alone fixed Marys big doll so she could see it when she came home in her little rocking chair on the table Fri Dec 25 A cold day snow drifted bad we had a good Christmas dinner we was all home all day
