mon sept 27 a cold day no frost this morning Russell started for Ames Iowa to go to school hope he will like it & do well there Wallace took him to Elgin this morning to the train he went to Wadena this afternoon Aulden started to cut corn about 3 PM Tues sept 28 not so cold this morning made a fire in the furnace to day and sundy the first Wallace & Lena went to Wadena this eve after meat for the silo fillers I took my big wool comforter apart to day
