mon Dec 31 A cold day a cold wind this eve Wallace butchered a hog today Lena helped him Ella washed Lena helped her some she washed last week she is quite a girl the boys has gone to Elgin to the New Years dance tonight went with Sam Ogle Tues Jan 1 A cold day very cold this eve the folks of the neighborhood I want say all for some dident come will some brot wood & Wallace took his saw & tracter & ladies brot dinner & made a lot of wood for the church today the folks all went from here but Russell & I Ella has gone to Midberries to a party
