a fearful stormy day snowed & blowed is cold the wind is high this eve & very cold sun Jan 6 A very cold day roads all drifted full in places Mon Jan 7 A bitter cold day the girls dident go to school the snow was drifted so it was 20 below zero this morning the men was busy braking road our cream man dident come & the mail man walked Lena & Ella washed Tues Jan 8 A cold morning isent so bad this eve Aulden took a stack hay to Chas Hunkberger at West Union this afternoon he took Lena to Elgin Ella stayed to Linies tonight the roads are so drifted & bad wed Jan 9 it rained this morning & snowed
