Cussmos Lowndes: Sometimes I wonder why the Columbia Camp keep on referring to us as the Feudurians. Are they trying to start a fight or something? Freehafer: Very corny indeed. Inter Nos Lowndes: Interesting. Freehafer: All right as an introductory effort. Sci-Fic Variety Lowndes: Amusing. Neat mimeo work. Highly enjoyed. Freehafer: Not a second Le Zombie. Sustaining Program Lowndes: Well mimeoed. Comments upon Nepenthe interesting. The rest dull and uninspiring. Speer's losing his grip. Freehafer: I don't always agree with Speer, but I always find him interesting. Reader and Collector Lowndes: Superlative as usual. Freehafer: The best in the mailing again. I with Koenig would enlarge the "Of Books and Things" department. Science Fiction Terrier Lowndes: Accurate, and informative. Neatly presented. Freehafer: A very good account, one that needed telling. Censored Lowndes: Knight's sonnet good. Book review of interest. Rest of material left me cold. Freehafer: Rather ambitious for a FAPA magazine, and therefore worth encouraging. Phantagraph--April Lowndes: Gorgeous burlesque of you know what magazine. Back cover a work of genius. Freehafer: Perfect newsstand material. Phantagraph--May Lowndes: Pretty esoteric, but okay if your mind is warped the "mind of man" way. "Jump out of Bed" a classic--I know. Freehafer: "Vapid verse" is right. FAPA Fan Lowndes: Good to see it back again. More care should be taken in stenciling, however. Freehafer: Mostly propaganda, but the rest is good. Bolide Lowndes: Cute. Freehafer: Good though almost microscopic. Hectographed Matter Horizons Lowndes: Strike three, Harry; you're out. I still can't read it. Freehafer: Still almost unreadable. It contains too much about science fiction for a science fiction fan magazine. Yhos Lowndes: Highly entertaining. Good hecto work. Freehafer: Very good, Art. Keep it up! Letter from Evans Lowndes: Mainly interesting because of EE's splendid follow-up at Denver. Freehafer: I can see that Evans is going to be one of our most valuable members. Sarrdonyx Lowndes: Material highly controversial, well varied, and not to be missed. Freehafer: This gets better with every issue. Lowndes adds: Mailing as a whole the best to date. Very glad to see a
