No matter what your talents may be, you'll be encouraged to put them to good use in dormitory activities. Your unit chairman may call on you to help with any number of dorm projects. There may even be a place for you in the dormitory's governing body, if responsibility is your byword. Your dorm counselor is always around to give sign-outs, advice on problems, or jut to chat. Each dorm has a nurse on duty in the building, day and night, so medical attention is near at hand when you're feeling below par. If you have chosen to live in a private home or sorority house, your academic and social life and activities will be much the same as the residence hall coeds. You'll be responsible for upholding the same University regulations set forth in the Code of Student Life. Life in the "Small World" of the dormitories will indeed be a new experience for most. Like all life at SUI, the dorms are designed especially with you in mind. Just remember to be considerate and follow the few rules set down, and don't forget to make it inside those front doors by the proper time. (Freshmen women's hours are 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.)
