Social Dance Club offers you an opportunity to learn the newest college dance steps. So, whether you're a beginner or almost an expert, you'll fit into one of the club's groups. Watch The Daily Iowan for registration announcements for these groups. Sports Clubs Want to meet other women interested in your favorite gymnastics or your favorite outdoor sport? WRA offers you this opportunity with its activities for tennis players, campers, tumblers, and hockey fans. If your forte is shooting, you'll enjoy the Rifle Club. Or if basketball is the sport for you, then you'll find others in the WRA program who'll want to join you in a little sporting competition. Swimming Clubs Is your favorite sports swimming? Then the Seals Club, a synchronized swimming group, may be the organization for you, The high light of its season is the Seals Show held during Mother's Day Weekend. But perhaps you feel your swimming strokes need a little polishing? Penguins was set up for this very reason-you can practice with other enthusiasts as you prepare for Seals tryouts. You'll have a chance to register for these groups at the WRA Open House this fall. Intramurals The Intramurals program is operated through representatives in each housing unit. Points are kept throughout the year in sports including swimming, volleyball, tennis, basketball, bowling and golf. At the end of the year the housing unit with the most points receives the traveling trophy. Some intramurals programs include men-mixed volleyball and mixed tennis competition are always lots of fun. You'll want to help your unit win the trophy , or if you already have it, hang on to it! 23
