Mother's Day Weekend When May arrives, SUI students roll out the red carpet for their families, especially the mothers. A faculty advisory group assists the Mother's Day Weekend Committee in planning the gala events for their special guests. Upon their arrival on the campus, parents are caught up in the whirl of activities scheduled for their entertainment. You are invited to attend the Seals Water Show, University Sing, and a Saturday afternoon program. Highlighting the festivities is the annual Mother's Day Luncheon, at which time the SUI Mother of the Year is presented. This annual AWS-sponsored activity will provide memories for each and every mom. Circle these important dates on your calendar. Profile Previews It's the greatest show on earth! It's the peak of the fall fashion season! It's the most sensational, spectacular, stupendous-well, maybe I'm getting a little carried away! Actually, it's the annual fall fashion show sponsored by AWS. Let me see-how can I describe Profile Previews? Well, first of all it's new! Of course, we've had Profile Previews for years, but it's new and fresh because it's meant just for you; that is, all of our new freshmen and transfer students at SUI. Second, it's exciting! Each girl models and outfit from her own wardrobe. This outfit can be sportswear, campus wear, suits, coats, dressy dresses, or cocktail wear. Have you ever modeled before? Well, I hadn't and believe me, it was exciting! Oh, don't worry about the know-how. The Profile Previews Styles Committee will help by giving you a few modeling tips. Third, it's fun! A panel of fashion experts pick ninety girls to model in the actual show and then pick one girl as Miss Perfect Profile with two other girls as her attendants.
