PHILADELPHIA B.F. KEITH'S SEPTEMBER 20 20 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY"- Very good. MLLE. LA TOYS MODELS - (9 mins.) A very good novelty. The posing of the dogs is remarkable and the act did very well in the opening spot. LOWRY & PRINCE - (14 mins.) The dancing of the man is the best part of the act and got over in very good shape. Comedy did not do so well. Finished to only a fair hand. ZOMAH - (22 mins.) This act proved a real mystery due to the fact that her assistant in the audience speaks no word to her. They do a clever routine of mind-reading stuff and got very good returns with all of it. Closed to a good hand. Her first showing after arriving from abroad. ED. MORTON - (14 mins.) Being a Philadelphian he was given a warm welcome and got over very well with a series of songs. He has a lot of good songs, most of them comedy. Closed strong. FORD SISTERS - (22 mins.) Still a very flashy set and makes a big show with their own orchestra. Girls make several changes of costume and their dancing has plenty of variety. Were a big hit, closing strong. GRACE DE MAR - (21 mins.) Did very well with a series of impersonations. She has a line of very bright material and handles it cleverly. Plenty of good clean comedy. Got a lot of laughs and finished to a big hand. BILLY ARLINGTON - (22 mins.) The applause hit of the show. His stuff still remains all hokum but it fitted into this bill and kept the audience laughing from start to finish. Took several bows and had to make a little speech. CHRIS RICHARDS - (10 mins.) Repeated very well for us. Following Arlington's act was not a particularly easy position but he did very well with his "nut" style of comedy and dancing. Closed to a good hand. JOHNSON, BAKER & JOHNSON - (6 mins.( Comedy and juggling of hats furnished a very good closing number for this bill. Got plenty of laughs and closed to a good hand. GENERAL REMARKS - This show got over very well with a crowded house, the comedy acts scoring particularly well, and with the big dance feature and Zomah's mystery act should give thorough satisfaction. CUTS LOWRY & PRINCE- Remarks "When they see him in uniform they'll think they are drafting women." Also use of word "bellyache."
