PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S SEPTEMBER 13 20 KRNOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Pictures very good. "Topics" not quite up to the average. MAXINE BROS. & BOBBY - (9 mins.) This act repeated very well, doing especially well in the opening spot. TOMMY GORDON - (14 mins.) This boy did very well. He is a sort of "nut" comedy monologist. Has a good routine of stuff and closed to a big hand. TEN EYCK & WEILY - (13 mins.) A very pretty dance number with plenty of variety, color and attractive dressing. All their numbers are well executed and the act got over in excellent shape. HERBERT ASHLEY - (19 mins.) This act was a good big applause hit, their parodies bringing them plenty of applause and they closed strong. Held the spot in fine shape. JANE & KATHERINE LEE - (26 mins.) The second week for these clever youngsters and they were as big a hit as last week. They did a new enchore bit and closed to a big hand. WILLIAM EBS - (13 mins.) This is a novelty that repeated in great shape for us being one of the applause hits of the bill. All of his work was well received and he finished big. NONETTE - (19 mins.) A great hit. Her first appearance here in sometime and she was accorded a very warm welcome. Scored solidly with all her songs and violin numbers. Forced to enchore and finished to avery big hand. SCANLON, DENNO BROS. & SCANLON - (12 mins.) This is one of the best dancing novelties we have played. The act is composed of three men and a girl who first appears in boy's clothing. They open as a straight singing quartette and then go into some very good dances with a rapid finish. Closed very strong. EMERSON & BALDWIN - (9 mins.) Did very well in the closing position, getting plenty of laughs with their comedy and building up a fast finish with their club juggling. GENERAL REMARKS - A very good show and it played without one jar, having plenty of comedy and snap to it. CUTS TOMMY GORDON - Eliminate remark "I was full of ambition but she said good-night."
